Newsletter #8 - October 2025
Please meet up with us this Sunday morning for coffee and conversation with local organizers as we mark one year out from 2026 local Encinitas elections.
Sunday Nov, 2: 9am to 10:30am, Coastal Roots Farm (441 Saxony Rd.)
Join Parents of EUSD, Encinitas Action, Safe Streets Encinitas, Somos TIAS and more as we look ahead to the 2026 Encinitas elections – and what’s at stake right here at home.
Learn about opportunities to get involved.
Meet other community members who are working to make Encinitas stronger.
Hear from a few brief speakers about what’s ahead in 2026.
We’ll be collecting donations for Somos TIAS, a local group supporting our immigrant neighbors. They’re requesting: cooking oil, tuna fish, size 4 and 5 diapers, size 2T-3T pull-ups, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent (prefer sheets).
Let’s get to work together because the future is local!
About Somos TIAS:
“Somos TIAS—Take Inspired Action Siempre—is centered around neighbors supporting neighbors. This is a community-led response to federal government-inflicted harm. We are not a charity; we are a solidarity network. Immigrants are our neighbors, coworkers, classmates, friends, and families. Every bag of food, every letter, every act of care is a way of saying: you belong, you are not alone.”
Hope to see you there,
Brad Lefkowits (Ocean Knoll Parent, and Parents of EUSD Member)
